What Pizza Oven Does Guy Fieri Use? 3 Great Pizza Ovens Used by Guy Fieri
If you watch cooking shows on television, you no-doubt have heard of Guy Fieri, who is known for cooking everything from burgers and steaks on the grill to various styles of pizza in the best pizza ovens. So what pizza oven does Guy Fieri use and recommend? I was curious about this myself, so I did some research and here is what I found out.
Psst! Just wanted to let you know that Ooni is running a 20-30% off sale on pizza ovens until May 29th. If you’ve been holding off on one because of cost, now’s the time! Perfect for summer!
The truth is, Guy Fieri uses and recommends several different kinds of pizza ovens—not surprising for someone who has had such a long and prolific career in the food industry. At Guy Fieri’s home, he uses the Mugnaini “Barrel Roll” Pizza Oven, while professionally he endorses several Camp Chef brand pizza ovens as well as the Chicago Brick Oven CBO-1000 DIY kit. You’ll also see Guy Fieri interact with several other pizza ovens over the course of his show.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the commercial and residential grade outdoor pizza ovens Guy Fieri uses and what makes them unique.

Guy Fieri Uses The Mugnaini Pizza Oven At His Home
At Guy Fieri’s home in Santa Rosa, California, he uses the Mugnaini pizza oven, specifically one of the “Barrel Roll” models you can find listed on the Mugnanini website. This pizza oven is clearly visible in the background, as is its signature logo on the top and bottom. These pizza ovens are distinctive for their half-barrel looking shape, although Guy’s has flat sides which is slightly different than standard models out of the box.
Mugnaini is a well-known brand in the pizza oven industry, and they offer a wide range of pizza ovens in different sizes and styles. Based on my analysis, the oven that Guy Fieri appears to be using is likely one of the “Barrel Roll” models, specifically the Prima 100, which is a popular choice among home chefs and serious entertainers. In a GQ article from 2015, Fieri claims this pizza oven burns at “about 800 degress”, but in reality this oven can burn closer to 1000F or even higher.
The Prima 100 is a commercial-grade pizza oven that’s designed to offer longer holding times and faster start-up times with back-to-back use. It can fit up to four 12-inch pizzas or a full-size turkey (for example), making it a versatile option for a variety of cooking needs.
Mugnaini ovens are known for their commercial-grade performance and craftsmanship, and are built with high-quality materials to ensure long-lasting durability. The Prima 100, like other Mugnaini ovens, is available in both wood-fired and gas-fired options, and it comes in a pre-assembled form that requires planning in advance. Mugnaini also offers customization options for those who want to create a unique oven that fits their specific needs—this is most likely the approach taken by Guy Fieri for his pizza oven.
It’s no surprise that Guy Fieri, a celebrity chef and TV personality known for his love of bold flavors and unique cooking techniques, would choose a Mugnaini pizza oven for his home. The oven’s commercial-grade design and high-quality materials make it an excellent choice for serious home chefs and anyone who enjoys cooking with a wood-fired oven.
Guy Fieri Uses (And Endorses) Camp Chef Pizza Ovens
In addition to Mugnaini, Guy Fieri also uses Camp Chef pizza ovens and accessories.
Camp Chef is a company that produces various outdoor cooking equipment, and Guy Fieri is one of their biggest fans (according to him). He has been using their products for over 20 years and believes that everything they produce delivers excellent results.
One of his favorite Camp Chef products is their pizza ovens, which he believes can change the game for many families on the way they make pizza. While he doesn’t mention preferring any specific models, like the Camp Chef 14, it’s clear Guy Fieri uses Camp Chef pizza ovens and endorses their products.
Camp Chef pizza ovens come in different variations, including a 30,000 BTU stove with a ceramic stone that retains heat and a double wall to bring in a dome style heat for well-done crust and toppings. These pizza ovens are designed to be used in conjunction with other Camp Chef products like grills and camp stoves.
Additionally, there is a Camp Chef sidekick accessory with a 30,000 BTU burner that can be incorporated onto the side of the smoker. This burner can be used to cook various foods, including pizzas, rolls, and cinnamon rolls.
The stand-alone pizza oven is another popular variation, which can reach up to 750 degrees. This separate unit allows users to have a pizza oven on their patio and make pizza very nearly as good as other well known pizza ovens like Ooni and Gozney, albeit it doesn’t get quite as hot. This is the same level of heat you can find in other pizza ovens, like the Breville Pizzaiolo.
In a well known Camp Chef promotional video, Guy Fieri invited three of his favorite chefs to try out the pizza ovens and make their own creations. The chefs were Warrior Princess Antonio Fosso, Christian Petroni, and Chef Aaron May. They used different ingredients to make unique pizzas and tested them out in the various Camp Chef pizza ovens. Not surprisingly, Guy loved all of the pizzas these different chefs made using the Camp Chef pizza oven.
Overall, Guy Fieri believes that the level of pizza that can be made in Camp Chef pizza ovens is impressive, and the versatility of the ovens is unmatched. Whether it’s for outdoor cooking or making pizzas at home, Camp Chef pizza ovens are an excellent addition to any cooking arsenal.
The again, if this was a paid promotion (which it probably was), then of course Guy Fieri would endorse their products. Just something to keep in mind, although Camp Chef is clearly a reputable brand and (in my experience) their products do work well.
Guy Fieri Also uses and endorses the Chicago Brick Oven CBO-1000
In addition to the Mugnaini and Camp Chef brands discussed above, Guy Fieri is also on record endorsing the Chicago Brick Oven CBO-1000. One of the reasons why he likes this oven is that it allows him to cook a variety of dishes, including pizzas, bread, and roasted meats, with consistent results. As a customized kit, the CBO-1000 offers a unique experience for those who enjoy building things and taking on DIY projects.
Compared to other pizza ovens on the market, the CBO-1000 kit stands out as it requires assembly before use. While some might find this to be a downside, others appreciate the ability to customize the final product and take pride in constructing the oven themselves. Additionally, the kit includes all the necessary components for a functional oven, eliminating the need to source individual parts or accessories. This is a great alternative for anyone considering building their own pizza oven from scratch.
The CBO-1000 is made of high-quality materials, including stainless steel and refractory cement, which allow it to reach high temperatures above 1000F (510C) and maintain them for extended periods. This feature is essential for achieving the desired results when cooking pizzas or other dishes that require consistent heat. The oven’s unique design also allows for efficient heat retention, reducing the amount of fuel needed to maintain high temperatures.
Another likely reason why Guy Fieri appreciates the CBO-1000 is its versatility. While pizza is the oven’s most well-known use, it can just as easily be used to bake bread, roast meats, and even cook vegetables. This versatility makes it a great addition to any outdoor cooking setup and allows for experimentation with different dishes—right up Guy Fieri’s alley.
Finally, the CBO-1000’s size is worth noting. While some pizza ovens are massive and take up a lot of space, the CBO-1000 is compact enough to fit in most outdoor kitchens or patios. This makes it a great option for those who want a high-quality pizza oven but don’t have space for a massive appliance.
Overall, the Chicago Brick Oven CGO-1000 offers a unique experience for those who enjoy DIY projects and want a high-quality pizza oven. Its versatility, high-quality materials, and compact size make it an excellent addition to any outdoor cooking setup. It’s no surprise that someone like Guy Fieri, who is known for visiting Flavortown on many occasions, would endorse and use the CBO-1000 pizza oven.
