Definition: Pizza Lifter

A pizza lifter, also known as a pizza peel, is a long-handled tool used in a pizza oven to safely transfer pizzas in and out of the oven. It typically has a flat, paddle-like surface at one end which allows the user to slide the pizza onto and off of the oven’s hot surface.

Usage:
