Oven
- Pizza dough store-bought, Pillsbury pizza crust, or homemade
- Pizza sauce
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Sliced mozzarella cheese thicker slices for a 3D look, thinner for a flatter look
- Black olives for the eyes and mouths
- Pepperoni slices optional
For Homemade Pizza Dough:
- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
Store-Bought Dough or Pillsbury Pizza Crust:
Make the ghosts:
Cut ghost shapes out of the sliced mozzarella. For a more 3D look, use thicker slices of cheese. Thinner slices will work too, but the ghosts will be flatter.
Cut small pieces of black olives to make eyes and mouths for the ghosts.
Decorate with ghosts:
After the pizza is done baking, place the mozzarella ghosts on top while it’s still hot. The cheese will melt slightly but keep the ghost shapes.
Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before cutting it. Serve and enjoy your spooky ghost pizza!
Homemade Pizza Dough Instructions:
Activate the yeast:
In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water. Sprinkle the yeast on top, stir, and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.
